We don't allow visits to our puppies before vaccines are given because parvovirus and distemper is everywhere and its way too risky for us. Our veterinarians are very against us letting families come and play with puppies before they complete the series of vaccines that all puppies need. We do scheduled pick ups by appointments only to pick up puppies here and we do offer delivery too with our professional delivery team. If at anytime parvo is serious in my county and my veterinarians contact me saying they have alot of parvovirus cases then we only do delivery or meet families outside of our gated husky compound. Most of our puppies are delivered because it's so convenient for families & most families are 6 hours (round trip) to days away bcuz our husky customers are in every state thruout the USA 😊.
During parvovirus (parvo)
season, breeders should
restrict visits to protect
vulnerable puppies, as the
highly contagious virus can
spread through direct
contact with infected dogs
or contaminated surfaces,
potentially leading to a
deadly illness. A family without pets at all could come into contract with the virus and spread it anywhere because it's so easily transmitted.
Parvo's High Contagiousness:
Canine parvovirus is a highly
contagious viral disease that
primarily affects puppies and
young dogs.
Transmission Methods:
The virus spreads through
direct contact with infected
dogs or their feces, and
indirectly through contaminated
objects like bowls, leashes, and
even people's clothing and
shoes, tires.
Vulnerability of Puppies:
Young, unvaccinated puppies
are particularly susceptible to
parvo, as their immune systems
are not yet fully developed.
Risk of Visitors:
Visitors, even those who appear
healthy, could unknowingly
carry the virus on their clothes,
shoes, or hands, potentially
exposing the puppies to infection.
Breeder's Responsibility:
Responsible breeders prioritize
the health and well-being of
their puppies, and restricting
visits during parvo season is
a crucial preventative
measure.
Duration of Virus:
Parvo can survive in the
environment for extended
periods even in soil, making it
a persistent threat.
Vaccination:
Puppies should be vaccinated
against parvo, typically in a
series of shots (6-9-12-15 weeks of age), to build immunity.
Breeder's Discretion:
Some breeders may choose to
allow visits after puppies have
completed their
vaccination series and are
deemed to be at lower risk of
infection.
We do pictures and videos of our whole facility and our husky pack and puppies from birth until they go home to there new families. We have multiple social sites we share everything on as well and we post alot and everyday.
