During the consultation, she will go over everything you need to know to set your puppy up for success: best equipment (collars, leashes, brushes), tips for an easy transition, guidance on introducing the puppy to family members and other dogs in the home, a potty training schedule, and conditioning the puppy to a crate. Even if you do not intend to have the puppy crated when you are not home, calm crate behavior is an important skill needed for veterinary emergencies and air travel.
